This month I'm participating in the A-Z Challenge.
(For more information, click here.) My theme is Anger
MISmanagement. I'll be posting almost every day in April, skipping only
Sundays. Let's see how I do!
Today's letter is L.
L is for LOSER, another insult!
Hm. Short, sweet, and to the point. Not really much to
add, there.
But don't kid yourself. This only seems like
it's getting easier. Wait until the end of the month!
Thanks for your time.
Loser can sure be thrown around, but who's the loser, the one being called it or the one looking like a nut with their fingers on their forehead
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good question! Haha. Just to be on the safe side, I never use that gesture. (For that matter, I don't call people losers, but this month's A-Z is supposed to be about losing one's temper, not controlling it.)
DeleteSurprised you haven't used gestures yet, like flipping the bird
DeleteLet me guess....losers make you livid?
ReplyDeleteLudicrous! Ha.
DeleteYes I know this word and don't like anyway what is really a loser I think when somebody say loser really He or she is a loser.Id ont like when people use this word to insult:(
ReplyDeleteYou're taking these entries far too seriously. Nobody's being hurt or insulted by my silly little blog posts this month.
DeleteOk so why I can make?im only talking about the word:loser nott more only I said I think.
DeleteAnd really I never think someone feel insulted for these posts Silver :)
Okay, just making sure. :)
DeleteI'm curious to know when people starting doing the L on the forehead thing. Middle School was the first time I'd seen it happen ever. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but the earliest uses that I saw were people branding themselves losers.
DeleteShort, sweet, and to the point! Doesn't get better than a loser...err...not "a loser" but the word itself, ugh, never mind!
ReplyDeleteNice try. Ha.
DeleteThis always just makes me think of the Beck song.
ReplyDeleteBrandon Ax: Writer's Storm
Nice reference.
DeleteYa know, this series would make for a very intriguing, if not a bit antagonistic, edition of Sesame Street. At least Oscar will like it.
ReplyDeleteSee ya 'round the web. All Things Kevyn.
I like the way you think.
Deleteits the only way i know which one is my left hand...or less than in math...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was very young, I used to remember which hand was my right by mentally saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
DeleteIt is all a matter of context is it not. A loser it a contest to become a Kamikaze pilot is not such a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteHow true. :)
DeleteI, like Brandon, thought of Beck. But then I thought of the Weird Al Yankovic song where he turned "Loser" into a polka.
ReplyDeleteI could never remember which hand to use, so I've not had much luck with the forehead thing...
Kind of defeats the purpose if you try to call someone a loser and do the gesture incorrectly...
