Well, I made it through the A to Z Challenge. My total posts for the year already exceed 30, which beats the hell out of last year's total! And you may ask, what's next?
That's a good question. It's no surprise to my pre-Challenge readers -- those who remained, anyway -- that I'd been going through a bad case of writer's block for months.
Anyhoo, fellow babies, I'm going to take a few more days off and then try to come up with something worth reading about, if I can. Wish me luck...
...and thanks for your time.
Congrats to you for finishing the A to Z! Sometimes, one has to put something we are working on aside, even for a long time, to refresh one's brain.
ReplyDeleteWell, with only 4 posts in 2015, my brain should be pretty "refreshed" by now! :)
DeleteWell, you're wild and crazy with so many posts. I love your fiction (hint).
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Thanks. It has been a while, hasn't it?
DeleteMaybe you need to go Z to A. Or 1 to 100. 100 ways to...one a day. Easy peasy.
ReplyDeleteWe all know you never run out of ideas.
DeleteJust pick one word or phrase and go, works for my show.
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading more from you!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Let's see if I can keep t in gear.
DeleteSometimes it's just not blogging time. When you're ready you'll come back to it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but I just picked up some new followers from the A to Z. I hope I can keep them.
DeleteI'm thinking of taking some time off too. Need to breathe a bit.
ReplyDeleteWell, if you do, I'm one reader who'll understand.
DeleteI enjoyed your posts immensely being a former comic book store owner. :-) Now, I am going back to getting my paper heroes into more trouble in my latest book. :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw that you ran a comic shop on Paul Howley's blog! Small world.
Deletewell, considering my muse has taken a couple of years off for vacation, the little vignettes in my post blogs are the first thing i've written fiction wise for a looong time. a few months isn't bad.
ReplyDeleteyou'll get the spark back.
Thanks.
DeleteYou made it through the A to Z admirably.
I hate I missed your A-Z my life has just been chaos for a bit. I am going to go check them out.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hope things are settling down for you.
DeleteWell done that you finished the A-Z challenge - I enjoying working on my posts, but it did mean my other writing suffered neglect. Now that I can go back to weekly posts, I'll have time to concentrate on my book outline. :)

If it's as good as your posts were, I'm looking forward to it.
DeleteYou can make something like Comical wednesday is the more you like I think :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, maybe I should stick to comics. Heh.
DeleteA to Z took a lot out of me too, since I consider myself an infrequent blogger. I look forward to seeing what you'll do next here.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. We're both curious. Ha.
DeleteDon't let Writer's Block get you down. Life happens and you need inspiration and motivation to write. Sometimes that means a period of mental stewing. You'll get there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the words of encouragement, and thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteI'm sad that you went through such a long writer's block, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who failed miserably in the blogging world last year. I am finally starting to get a handle on my life and my schedule, and am planning on getting my blog back in gear before summer. I really miss the camaraderie among the bloggers I'd started to get to know. I'll be sure to get back through your A to Z posts so I can see what I've missed!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your return to blogging as well!
DeleteCongrats on finishing the A to Z Challenge! Writer's block is never fun. Hopefully the challenge helped rejuvenate you. It definitely pushed me forward. Good luck with what comes next for your blog.

Thanks a lot for your good wishes, and congratulations on making it through the challenge.
DeleteBabe, GREAT job on finishing. I did it this year with our Housewives blog, and the year prior on my own blog. SOOOOO much easier when the days are split up between people. get 'er DONE!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the words of encouragement.
ReplyDeleteWith Trump providing so much comedic material and you still insist upon not having anything, methinks you need to gulp down a whole case of Milk of Magnesia, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, but I never dealt with politics very much on my blog. No real reason.
DeleteCongrats on finishing. You did an amazing job, your theme was challenging and fun, and for someone who had a comics deprived childhood (even grownuphood), very educational.
ReplyDeleteWriters block?? I'd never guess if you hadn't told me...but it happens, and it gets beaten too. You'll do it, don't worry, when you are ready.
Best always,
Thanks for the compliments, and the encouragement.
DeleteAs a longtime comic fan and former comic store owner, I really enjoyed your posts. :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it! Where was your comic store?
DeleteCongratulations on completing the challenge! That's fab that you've already beaten last year's record and it's only May :)
