L is For...

This month I'm participating in the A-Z Challenge. (For more information, click here.) My theme is Anger MISmanagement. I'll be posting almost every day in April, skipping only Sundays. Let's see how I do!

Today's letter is L.

L is for LOSER, another insult!

Hm. Short, sweet, and to the point. Not really much to add, there.

But don't kid yourself. This only seems like it's getting easier. Wait until the end of the month!

Thanks for your time.

  1. Loser can sure be thrown around, but who's the loser, the one being called it or the one looking like a nut with their fingers on their forehead

    1. That's a very good question! Haha. Just to be on the safe side, I never use that gesture. (For that matter, I don't call people losers, but this month's A-Z is supposed to be about losing one's temper, not controlling it.)

    1. You're taking these entries far too seriously. Nobody's being hurt or insulted by my silly little blog posts this month.

  4. I'm curious to know when people starting doing the L on the forehead thing. Middle School was the first time I'd seen it happen ever. :)

    1. I'm not sure, but the earliest uses that I saw were people branding themselves losers.

  5. Short, sweet, and to the point! Doesn't get better than a loser...err...not "a loser" but the word itself, ugh, never mind!

  6. This always just makes me think of the Beck song.

  7. Ya know, this series would make for a very intriguing, if not a bit antagonistic, edition of Sesame Street. At least Oscar will like it.

See ya 'round the web. All Things Kevyn.

    1. When I was very young, I used to remember which hand was my right by mentally saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

  9. It is all a matter of context is it not. A loser it a contest to become a Kamikaze pilot is not such a bad thing.

  10. I, like Brandon, thought of Beck. But then I thought of the Weird Al Yankovic song where he turned "Loser" into a polka.

I could never remember which hand to use, so I've not had much luck with the forehead thing...

    1. Kind of defeats the purpose if you try to call someone a loser and do the gesture incorrectly...
