What to Wear, What to Wear...

As I swiftly perused the blogiverse, I've learned that October 13th is the date of the Second Annual Willow Manor Ball. Looks like fun, and I certainly plan to try to attend!

If you follow the above link and decide you want to join in, click here to officially sign up for the festivities.

I just need to choose something appropriate to wear. This is Ye Olde Silver Fox's first formal gala in... well, a long time!

My first choice is an all-black tuxedo (and no, that's not me in the photo -- my hair's greyish-white, as befitting a true Silver Fox).

But I can't decide between a bow tie or less traditional tuxedo neckwear...

So I'll probably opt for my usual night attire:

And the flower is for...?

Either way, I'm brushing up on my dance steps!

And ladies, I'll be arriving unescorted... (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Thanks for your time.

  1. Well, your usual night attire will certainly turn a few heads, including mine!

Hope your Grant sounding voice is all tuned up for some romantic chat. I've got you penciled in my dance card, Mr. Fox.

  2. An all black tux. Why do I find it easy to say I'm not surprised? By the way, I heard Cameron Diaz is up in your neck of the woods, filming a movie. Could you find her and pass along my phone number? Thanks!!!

  3. Actually, Skip, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I took a drive to where they're currently filming, and after listening to Tom Cruise talk about his kid (He dropped some photos from his wallet at some point, but they weren't of Suri, they were of L. Ron Hubbard.), I got kicked out of the area by security. Luckily, I stopped at a nearby Dunkin' Donuts for some caffeine to aid in my drive home, and there she was! Cameron Diaz herself! I talked to her for a few minutes, and gave her your number. She absolutely promised to call, so good luck getting her away from the filming on October 13th!

  5. Actually, it was an éclair. I stared at her, watching her eat it for about a minute before I found words to speak...

  6. The Zorro outfit looks like it'll be just the thing. I have to go see if any of my formal attire still fits me!

  9. Thank you! THANK YOU!!! Cameron just called, and after we talked a little about the film she's shooting, she agreed to drive to Worcester Airport tonight!!! I'll be meeting her there with the Boeing 777, and we're going to be leaving for Willow Manor. Um... do you need a lift?

  12. Willow: "Penciled?" Make it ink, milady! How could I miss a dance with our gracious hostess?

Skip: Thanks for flying me in on Skipster One and saving me (and Toronado) a long ride on horseback! And you and "Cammie" sure make a sweet couple!

Roy: If none of the old clothes fit, you could always try a black bowtie... and nothing else. That would certainly make an impression.

Candie: Sorry if my opting for Zorro garb disappoints you. I'll definitely save a tango (or two, or three) for you, and I'll even bring the rose for you to hold in your teeth!

    Betsy: Undoubtedly!

Baino: Keep my sword sheathed? Umm... Is that some kind of code?

Megan, Lettuce: There's plenty to go around, ladies! Ummm, I meant dance-wise, of course... (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
