C is For...

This month I'm participating in the A-Z Challenge. (For more information, click here.) My theme is Anger MISmanagement. I'll be posting almost every day in April, skipping only Sundays. Let's see how I do!

Today's letter is C.

C stands for CURMUDGEON.

I was originally thinking of taking the easy way out, in which case I would have gone with “crabby”...

Curmudgeon is a great word, especially because it so perfectly fits the angry old man I'm becoming year by year! It occurred to me ages ago that the reason there are so many cranky old men and women is because the senior citizens of the world have, for the most part, put up with years and years of the crap this world has to offer. Who can blame them for being sick of it?

Thanks for your time.

  1. My friend who died last year - and about whom I wrote on my blog - used to call himself a curmudgeon. I don't think he was. I don't think you are, either. But I won't tell anyone and spoil your facade. ;o)

  3. It seems like a good pay off to get to be a curmudgeon after years of torment. Great word.

  4. I adore the word curmudgeon! It's so much classier than CrabbyPants. Only a few more years before I can claim the title, but I'm pushing hard for it.

    1. I hope I don't identify with all the words in this list as much as I do curmudgeon!

  7. Great word and picture. My friends and I have joked about this. The older you get, the more stuff bothers you and the more you've seen to be bothered by. My brother-in-law was a curmudgeon by age 28. He's been to war so I don't question him. :)
