X is For...

This month I'm participating in the A-Z Challenge. (For more information, click here.) My theme is Anger MISmanagement.

Today's letter is X.

X stands for XANTHIPPE.

A xanthippe is an "ill-tempered woman."

(The original Xanthippe was Socrates' wife.)

Hey, even the spell-checker didn't know that one!

What, do you have a better one?

Thanks for your time.

  3. Now I know . . . if I ever run into someone who attempts to label me as such, I will punch them right in the nose. I am NOT ill-tempered!

  4. X seems to be a tough one for all themes. Still you pulled it off and I learned a new word.

  5. Great word, and one I'd never heard of. Yes, I probably knew another name for the same. :-)

  6. Xanthippe . . . I'm pretty sure I'm butchering the pronunciation but I like it! New word for me, its almost like I made it up. Would a xanthippe engage in X-pionage? I think so.
