It's a Doozy! ~~ A "Comical Wednesday" Post

Are you old enough to remember when comic books featured ads like the one below?

Well, my writing partner, Skip Simpson, came up with an updated version. Hope you like it!

  1. That's outstanding. I have a BB gun, you know. I found it behind the washing machine when I moved into my house. I have no BBs, but might get some one of these days to scare away the neighbors' cats, who enjoy awakening me at odd hours, as do the neighbors. Perhaps I should shoot the neighbors, and not the cats.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I assume you're joking about shooting at cats...

    2. Considering that I don't even know how to put a BB in the gun, I think everyone around me is safe. I really don't think I could bring myself to shoot a gun.

    3. Well, I'm glad for the cats. Your neighbors? That's their problem.

    1. Daisy b-b guns were advertising (in comics) into the 1980s, I believe. But nowadays? I doubt they'd get away with it. But you should have seen the ads they allowed back in the 1940s and 1950s! Maybe someday I'll do a post about them.

  5. I remember adds, but not like that. Still awesome update, made me laugh. "...Out of my cold dead hands." Too good.
