"YOU IS." -- A Poem, Kinda/Sorta

Due to encouragement (nagging?) from a couple of people, I decided to come back with a short poem, of sorts.

*  *  *  *  *

You Is.

You is.

Not "You are."

"You is."

As in " 'You' is the third word in my favorite sentence."

"I love you."

Of course, that's only my favorite sentence when "you" is you.

* * * * *

And remember, fellow babies, sometimes a poem is only a poem.

Sometimes.

Thanks for your time.

  4. Or maybe I wrote that poem 47 years ago. (Any poem you haven't seen before is a new poem, right?) Or not... Heh.

  5. Well, you didn't say it was old or new. If you wrote it in grade school, then I'm even more impressed!

    Natasha thinks you're a hero...it's gotta be that avatar influencing her thinking, don't you think?

  7. @Betsy: If you wanna talk "impressed," you should meet the doll who inspired that poem!

  8. @Natasha: See if you still feel that way once I start writing my usual long posts again!

  11. You is back. Is you going to let Orson play? Are he going to come back too? He are a better Grammar Nazi than you at the moment. Are he?

  12. Yes, I is, but Orson probably aren't. Furry little f**k's been ignoring me lately except when he wants food or to be let out.

  14. Well, it looks like i missed the goodbye but I see you're back again! :) Understood that sometimes blogging gets to be too much too, SF. In fact I have decided to shut down my hot toast and jam blog and just do my doodle Co-op.

    Anyway, I'm wishing you the best. Did want to thank you too for your delightful entries into the XMAS tea--hilarious and brilliant.

    I will still be visiting just not as much (as if I have been that frequent anyway) as one might expect when hosting a personal blog, verses an art one.

  15. @MMm: I had to take a little leave of absence while I dealt with a lot of personal issues that still vex me. I read (in the comments section of Alan's blog) that you were quitting your blog, and I regret I haven't been there very much lately... except mostly as a lurker. So, no apologies necessary. It works both ways. And thanks for your kind comments about my participation in the Christmas Teas.
