92 and Counting...

My mother, Anita Lynch, when she was --
gasp! -- slightly younger than I am now!

Short, sweet, and to the point, fellow babies:

Today my mother turns 92 years old. It's been a rough, hectic year or so... but we all made it.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Thanks for your time

  12. Thanks, everybody, for your birthday wishes to my Mom. Earlier this afternoon, I printed out my little tribute page and all the attendant comments -- except for Skip's later arrival, which will be duly reported to her the next time I see her -- and she was quite impressed to have received congratulations from literally all over the world! Her eyesight is pretty bad -- she's legally blind -- but I read everything to her. Thanks again, fellow babies, for providing me the means to give her an additional birthday present one day "late!"

(And Cousin Saul... I doubt anyone's ever "thanked" my Mom for bringing me into the world, but if anyone's ever had a bad word to say about her, there are probably a few ex-girlfriends of mine on that short list!)

  13. All kidding aside -- and I'm honestly not just saying this because she's my mother -- there aren't many people who'd have anything but a good opinion of her. I'm kinda lucky that way. You think I'm a bastard now, try to imagine what I'd be like if I'd had a horrible upbringing!
