Why, I Oughtta...!

I just checked out "Skip's Stuff," the blog of my writing partner and so-called "friend," Skip Simpson, where he seems to be turning the blog into "Sgt. Skipster's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

I found a supposed "conversation" between Skip and myself!

I'm referred to as "SF676756." Here's some of "my" dialogue (and for the full post, click here):

SF676756: Stop calling me [Foxster]!!! What gives you the right to call yourself a gentleman??? LOL!!! ROFL!!!
Skipster1951: The same right you have to run around in a Zorro outfit, I guess... :P
SF676756: I'll ignore that! I'd advise you to stop misrepresenting yourself to your female viewers, otherwise I'll be forced to post the pictures I've kept since 1983!!!

DA NOIVE!

I didn't write any of that! How dare he even suggest I'd use "LOL" or "ROFL?" In a word: Ewwww!

(Although I really do hate it when he calls me "Foxster!")

Well, I'm not gonna take this lying down. In fact, his own post gave me the idea as far as how to "get even"with him. Heh, heh, heh.

The following pictures are from the early 1980s, fellow babies!

None of the guys in this photo are gay or anything. Just sayin'.

This is the "romantic at heart" who's looking for a date, ladies!

Hm. He's "looking for someone to share some time"
with him? Or do some time with him?

How do you like those apples, "Skipster?" That oughtta teach you to mess with the Foxst- I mean, The Silver Fox!

Whose freakin' idea was it to revive this razzer-frazzer partnership, anyway?!?

Thanks for your time.

  1. How DARE You!!! You told me those pictures were destroyed!!! Here I am, just trying to get a date for Saturday night... and you ruin my life AGAIN!!! That's it. I want half of the blog. We don't have to talk... we just write poetry and we don't comment on each other. It's either that... or I send Guido to see you!!! Be WARNED!!!

  4. Gee, Skip has his same "picture smile" in every shot. Even when getting busted, you can tell that same smile is hiding under his yellow hoodie.

  5. Thank you for pointing that out, Willow. I hadn't noticed that. Obviously these pictures are faked!!! Come clean, Foxster... or meet me in the ring on Thanksgiving Day for the "Turkey To Remember!"

  6. Brian: I did not say LOL and ROFL!

Skip: Nice try, Skipster, jumping on Willow's comment out of desperation like that! If they were fakes, you'd never have written "You told me those pictures were destroyed!!!" earlier. So who needs to "come clean" now, bucko?

  8. @Candie: Glad you didn't mean you "died" literally. (Among other things, it would have prompted the question, "Then who wrote that comment?")

  9. I have to consider this visit a bit freaky since as I was opening your blog I was humming "Sgt. Pepper's"!!!

(We DID just watch the Frampton/Bee Gees film on Saturday night and I've been humming all the tunes ever since, but still.)

I'm not a big proponent of those acronyms either. (What's ROLF, by the way? No. Don't tell me.)

You'll only ever be the Silver Fox in my book.

  10. @Kat: Oops. Typo (since corrected), on my blog, not Skip's. It's supposed to be ROFL ("Rolling on the Floor Laughing"), not ROLF. ROLF is a Muppet. No, wait, that's ROWLF. Never Mind.

And did you really sit through that film? Is it as bad as I've heard it was?

  11. I was a major PF fan as a teenage girl, so it was more of a trip down the ole memory lane for me. Not so, our niece, who was experiencing it for the first time. She does wan't to see it again, but only because it is just so laughable! Robin Gibb is about the worst actor you'll ever see! We were ROFLOAOOAOAOAO!!!
(Rolling on the floor laughing our asses off over and over and over and over!)
