Too Much, Too Soon?

Way back, in this post, I announced that I would be participating in this year's A-Z Blogging Challenge during the month of April. Then, as a follow-up on February 2nd, I wrote this post telling you all what my theme would be.

Well! It seems that I jumped the gun a little. Several – “several” meaning “hundreds” – of participants in the A-Z Challenge chose today's date for what they call the “AtoZ Challenge Theme Reveal.”

So, since I already let the proverbial cat out of the bag, I'd just like to repeat my theme for the benefit of those who are not regular readers, but are coming to my blog for the first time to see what kind of twisted mind writes this thing.

This blog contains frequent posts about comic book history, and April will provide 26 examples of just that. My theme is “"Golden Age Comic Book Characters with the Same Name As Modern-Day Characters." I've pretty much painted myself into a corner, and on purpose, yet!  Hope to see you there. Uhh, I mean, here.

Thanks for your time.

P.S. to my regulars: In case you're wondering how far I've gotten with the 26 A-Z entries, I finished all 26 well  over a week ago!

  1. Sounds like an interesting theme. I'm stopping by from the theme reveal, but I'll have to come by again. I'm not all that well-versed in comic book characters, so maybe I'll learn something fun!

  3. I am so jealous! Finished, already? I set a theme today, but I am not sure when I can actually start writing them! And I definitely can't do them same day!
My favorite in youth was, of course, Wonder Woman. I think it was the bracelets.

  5. Wow, that's pretty specific. I can't imagine how you came up with 26, but I don't know comic books that well. All the best to you!

    1. Thanks... and who said I came up with 26? There may be a few stumpers in the alphabet.

  7. Sure does sound like a very interesting theme. I haven't seen this type of one with the cartoon figures and comparing them to modern day characters before. Very creative! Have fun with the challenge!

  12. While it is apparent you are not, Charlie Rich, your theme sounds fun, cool and inviting. Oh, how I loved Batman! I was Batman one year for Halloween.

  15. Hi Silver Fox,

Thank you for stopping by with your well wishes the other day. It does help to know there are complete strangers out there who not only care, but who just understand, especially when those closest to us may not know what we're feeling.

My boyfriend is trying his best to get me into superheroes and everything related, so I look forward to seeing your blog posts, as a new follower.

    Love,
    Rachel
