As most of my regular readers know, my internet time has been severely curtailed lately. Nevertheless, I wanted to post something "Wild" for Theme Thursday, since I haven't been able to do that for a while. In fact, I didn't even get to check out this week's topic until Wednesday!
I've always felt that -- on my "Silver Fox" blog, anyway -- doing nothing more than posting a YouTube video and my "Thanks for your time." closing would be a cheat. This blog is supposed to be about my writings... to some extent, anyway.
However, due to my limited online activity, I decided to search YouTube for a little-known version of the Steppenwolf classic, "Born to be Wild." The version I wanted was the one done by Wilson Pickett, a version which featured the great Duane Allman on guitar.
No luck. Crap.
Instead, I opted for the following "commercial" -- which was neither made nor approved by Guinness -- but does imply a sense of the wild.
Ya might say.
And as for your humble Silver Fox? Hopefully soon, I'll return from the land of the Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup!
Thanks for your time.
