R.I.P. Something REALLY Important!

No, not another damned celebrity.

This probably won't matter to most of you, but...

I recently learned that an incredible blog called Dial B for Blog has not only stopped posting new entries -- that happened a few months ago -- but has disappeared from the internet entirely (so I can't even link to it for you).

Dial B for Blog was primarily about comic books (especially Silver Age comics) and other related subjects. It was an amazingly informative, well-researched, entertaining blog, and I'll miss it a lot more than some of those celebs who've recently passed on. (And no, no names.)

Thanks for your time.

P.S. -- UPDATE -- Dial B for Blog has returned to the internet! Not sure how long ago. Since I thought it was permanently deleted, I wasn't looking for it, of course! But who cares when it returned? It's back, and highly recommended!

  2. Sorry... I've had the link up since the "David'Z RantZ" days. Just removed it. *sniff*

I've done a lot of posts on my blogs about comics, even written a handful in my time. You should take a week off from work and check out my archives on both blogs. ;-)

  3. Sorry about Dial B, Mr. Fox. I'm not big on comic books, though, so I don't feel the pain.

  4. Well this would explain it. And I couldn't find Dave's World 56, either. I think it was otin remarked about blogs just "disappearing" like this, never to return. I liked Dial "B' for Burbank...***sniff***

  7. Sorry to have missed the chance to check out that site. Comics played a very important part in several stages of my life. It's how I met SF, my daughter met her husband through the TMNT comics. You just never know.

  9. Willow: Well, that's why I wrote "This probably won't matter to most of you..."

Subby: I loved Dial B for Blog's "companion" blog, Dial B for Burbank. (I used to link to it before it disappeared.) That guy sure can keep one informed and entertained!

Candie: No, smart@$$, this wasn't my TT post. I plan to be different and post my Theme Thursday entry ON A FREAKIN' THURSDAY INSTEAD OF A WEDNESDAY!!! ;-)

And by the way, all, the post I'm planning for tomorrow is comic book related, also.

  10. Aw, that's too bad. I have not had that happen to me yet (except once, but it was a newish blogger and I think he just got cold feet).

Well, three cheers for comic books, anyway. :)
