Separated at Birth (or Something)?

Well, I suppose if you're rebooting the franchise, it's okay to reboot the posters, too...

There's a thin line between homage and rip-off, IMHO. When it's as obvious as this one, we're stuck with calling it "homage."

Thanks for your time.

  1. haha why create anything new when you can rip off what came before and fans will still flock to it?

    1. Plus I so hate the way the new Doc is trying his darnest to sound like the original one. It's like watching a cover band, you know?

  2. I sneeze saying Rip-Off! Now they can't even think up anything original for the posters.

    1. I'm sure some people thought it was a cool idea. I just thought it was a bit much.

  6. The difference being that the original cast was absolutely faaaaaaaantastic and this one is, well, okay, I suppose. I like the new Uhura. The new Spock has zero charisma and the new Kirk just isn't as - for lack of a better word - human.

    1. I have to admit, I haven't seen any of the rebooted ST movies.

    2. That makes you one smart and lucky man. I fell asleep watching the first installment of that cover band. Tried it again, and hated it. Maybe next time, I'll fetch myself a drink first.
