Longer? Really?

*sigh* Guilty as charged...

Seriously, that's a valid point you made, about Karen's description (or lack of it). I just transplanted and slightly re-worked a section from Part Two. I inserted it during the scene toward the end of Part One, where Eli drives Karen home from school. (You'll probably notice I use my usual "cheat" of comparing Karen to a celebrity.)

Now, that ought to screw up everyone who's already read Part One but doesn't see this comment...

Anyway, thanks for the constructive input! Part of the problem is I anticipate your posts being a little longer than average and needing some time for reading, so I hold them in my queue until I have the time to sit and read.

In any case, I thought this was a magnificent introduction and I very much look forward to reading the rest of the story. One MINOR point of feedback - in my mind, I feel like I have a clear image of who Eli and Teddy are, but not really of who Karen is. You described her as a dark-haired sophomore and she's a foot shorter than Eli and Teddy. From the Boris Karloff reference, I thought maybe she was fugly like Frankenstein's monster, but then you also described her as attractive. Sorry, I'm just confused on what image I should have in my mind for Karen.

Even so, I really enjoyed the banter between the two characters and look forward to reading more.blunozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02917109513028096262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-188724087075739853.post-9825038937225178802009-05-11T17:27:00.000-04:002009-05-11T17:27:00.000-04:00Sparkle: Hm. Chapter Two is written and will be posted next Monday. Chapters Three and Four -- I'm gonna try my darnedest to have this stop at four -- will show up on the following consecutive Mondays.

Valerie: "Banter" is my strong point. if I may say so. For examples, read "Angelina," "Meet Mark," or any other multi-part stories in my archives, and I myself recommend "My Island," my lonnnnng, true story, accessible by clicking on the link just a few inches below my Silver Fox profile photo. It's probably the best thing I've ever written... and this is coming from someone who describes himself as "my own worst critic."

Everyone Else: All comments are greatly appreciated! The Silver Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00730805376957629641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-188724087075739853.post-35323838796584552512009-05-11T11:49:00.000-04:002009-05-11T11:49:00.000-04:00Excellent.
